Yes, students faculty and staff have free access to The New York Times! 

Here's how you sign up.

  1. Click on The New York Times button on the Learning Commons homepage

  2. Click on the Create Account button

  3. Enter your CMCC e-mail address then click Continue

  4. Create a password then click Create Account

  5. Select the appropriate option of Student or Faculty / Staff.
    If you are a student please select your estimated graduation year. Then click the Sign Up button.

  6. Click Get Started.

  7. You can select or deselect areas of interest to you to receive notifications about.  Click Continue when done.

  8. Select or deselect any newsletters you want to receive in your e-mail.  Click Continue when done.

  9. You can scan a QR code to add the app to your phone, or select “Not right now” option.

  10. Click the Explore the Times button and enjoy your access to the New York Times.
