Directions to make a Tutoring Appointment

  1. Go to: https://guides.cmcc.edu/tutoring

  2. Click the button for the kind of tutoring help you need: math, science, or writing

    1. (Note: You can also schedule to meet a Learning Commons staff member just chose the “Librarian Help” option.)

  3. Select the course you need tutoring help with - for example Math 050 – Algebra.

    1. ​​​​​​​Courses will have (In-Person) or (Online) options when tutors have in person hours. 

  4. Pick the day you want to meet with your tutor form the calendar

  5. (Optional) pick a specific tutor.

  6. Select the time you want to meet the tutor

  7. Enter your name

  8. Enter your CM e-mail address

  9. (Optional) enter your phone number

  10. (Optional) enter your address

  11. (Optional) Provide notes you think may help the tutor understand what you need tutoring with.

  12. Click the Book button

  13. You will receive a confirmation e-mail.

    1. The e-mail will contain a “Join your appointment” button to link to your online Microsoft Teams meeting – which you can ignore if you choose to meet in person.

Note: Microsoft Teams is part of Office 365 which all students, faculty, and staff have access to for free.  Microsoft Office 365 can be downloaded from CMConnect à Remote Learning à Navigating Your Course à Free Microsoft Office for Students.  (https://cmconnect.cmcc.edu/ICS/Remote_Learning/Navigating_Your_Course.jnz?portlet=Free-form_Content_2020-03-17T15-23-27-508) You will need to log in to CMConnect to get it.
